A Day At Lulu's

At our childcare center we focus on the development of each child through a program promoted by the State of Ohio called Creative Curriculum. Creative Curriculum incorporates many areas of learning and expression that are extremely important to a child's future development. We believe it is vitally important that the children have the opportunity to explore many different subjects and also interact with one another in a formal and informal setting. We believe that with this curriculum and a little bit of nurturing the children will be prepared for the next steps in their educational career.

Below we included an example of a curriculum one of our teachers may lead during the day.

Daily Schedule

Arrival/Early nap/child’s choice: 5:00 a.m. -7:00 a.m.

Breakfast/school departure: 7:00a.m.- 9:00 a.m.

Circle Time: 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.

Exercise/Outdoor time (each group goes separately): 9:30 a.m.-10:30a.m.

Small group/ free play: 10:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

Math: 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Story time/ Reading Readiness: 11:30a.m. - 11:50 a.m.

Preparing for Lunch: 11:50 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Lunch: 12:00 p.m.-12:45 p.m.

Prepare for Nap: 12:45 p.m.-1:00 p.m.

Nap: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Snack / Arrival from School: 3:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Exercise/Outdoor time (each group goes separately): 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.

Homework Time for school agers: 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Story time/ Reading Readiness: 4:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m.

Small group/ free play: 5 p.m. – 6:30p.m.

Departure/child’s choice: 5p.m.-6:30p.m.
